Title:	Summary talk for TRAPSPEC
Abstract:	TRAPSPEC Improvements and developments of ion traps, spectrometers and detectors for low-energy nuclear physics experiments (LPC-Caen, GSI, ISOLDE/CERN, Jyväskylä, Krakow, Leuven, Mainz) N. Severijns Kath. Univ. Leuven, Belgium The TRAPSPEC Joint Research Activity has developed new technologies to upgrade existing ion trap based infrastructures and developed new instrumentation and advanced detectors to be used in combination with ion traps. This has strongly increased precision and/or efficiency in measurements with the existing ion trap set-ups and has, in addition, created a wider applicability of ion traps in nuclear physics, especially with respect to in-trap spectroscopy. Pushing technology to carry out high precision spectroscopy and mass spectrometry experiments with traps, thereby fully exploiting the advantages that traps offer, has significantly extended the research possibilities at several existing European Large Scale Facilities, i.e. ISOLDE-CERN, GSI-Darmstadt, JYFL-Jyväskylä and GANIL-Caen.
