Title:	Lifetime measurements for neutron-rich nuclei around $^{48}$Ca.
Abstract:	Multi-nucleon transfer and deep-inelastic reactions with radioactive beams will be a powerful tool to study the spectroscopy of neutron-rich nuclei far from the stability line. These reactions have been fully exploited with stable beams and very recently also lifetime measurements of excited states populated via this method became possible [1,2]. In this presentation we would like to report on the first measurement of lifetimes around the $^{48}$Ca doubly-magic nucleus, using a novel method [3] to measure lifetimes of nuclei populated via multi-nucleon transfer reactions using the Recoil Distance Doppler Shift method (RDDS) [4,5] method in combination with the CLARA and PRISMA spectrometers [6,7]. We will focus on the lifetime measurements of the N=30 isotones $^{50}$Ca and $^{51}$Sc. The B(E2) extracted for the 2$^+$ $\rightarrow$ 0$^+$ and 11/2$^-$ $\rightarrow$ 7/2$^-$ transitions in $^{50}$Ca and $^{51}$Sc, respectively are compared with large-scale shell-model calculations and for the first time the effective charges near $^{48}$Ca are derived.
