Title:	Result from ECRIS developments within ISIBHI
Abstract:	The JRA-ISIBHI is based on two challenging projects of 3rd generation Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Sources devoted to the production of intense beams of highly charged ions (HCI), with particular regards to the accelerators operating in Europe. The two projects, MS-ECRIS and A-PHOENIX, feature a different approach to the HCI production and they have been developed in parallel. The scientific motivations and the technological issues of the MS-ECRIS project will be given, along with a short description of the main components. The status of the project and the technical difficulties met during the magnets commissioning will be also described. The A-PHOENIX source has been commissioned in 2007 and the details of its construction will be given, along with its preliminary results.
