Title:	Indirect measurement of the D(alpha,gamma)6Li reaction by means of Coulomb dissociation of 6Li in the presence of large nuclear contributions
Abstract:	The low cross sections that dominate the reaction D(alpha,gamma)6Li at Big-Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) energies present Coulomb dissociation (CD) as the only way to measure this reaction at the relevant energie region. Kiener et al. [1] performed such measurement at 26 A MeV, and their results introduced an error of about a factor of 20 in the predicted BBN yield of 6Li [2]. A more precise measurement probably will not alleviate the severe discrepancies between predicted BBN yields of 6Li and primordial yeilds derived from astronomical observations [3]. However, a remeasurement is warranted in view of attempts to solve these problems by invoking new physics (see, e.g. [4]). Experimental data for the CD of 6Li measured at GSI/KaoS at 150 A MeV bomboarding energy have been analyzed before [5] under the assumption of pure CD. It turned out, however, that the radiative-capture cross section for the D(alpha,gamma)6Li reaction can only be extracted quantitatively if all observables are simulated properly within a theoretical model [6] that fully takes into account CD and nuclear contributions and their interferences. We will show that such a model describes the measured data very well, and that the low-energy astrophysical factor S24 can be deduced with much better precision than in Ref. [1] [1] J.
