Title:	The application of coherent EUV and x-ray radiation to the diagnosis of plasmas
Abstract:	A review of work at the University of York on the use of EUV and x-ray laser radiation in measuring laser-plasma parameters will be presented. We show that EUV transmission measurements diagnose laser ablation and temperature, while EUV phase measurements record density variations. The use of EUV and x-ray radiation in measuring plasma opacity, in particular frequency averaged opacities such as the Rosseland mean opacity is discussed.
