Title:	Fast ionization routine for the hydro-radiative code ARWEN
Abstract:	The ARWEN code has been upgraded with a new fast temporal ionization routine to describe transient X-ray lasers. In order to allow large 2D computations without tremendously increasing the computing time, the model has to avoid long matrix resolutions and/or large number of intermediate levels. We use a rapid two steps scheme by G. Pert to compute the populations of ions. It is coupled with an effective temperature to obtain straightforwardly the populations of excited levels without rate equations. Autoionisation and dielectronic recombination are included. Comparisons with experiments, simulations from the NLTE workshops and EHYBRID ionisation time are presented.
