Title:	Atomic Parity Violation in a single Ra+ ion
Abstract:	Atomic parity violation scales faster than Z**3. Therefore in Ra+, where the atomic theory can provide calculations of sufficient accuracy, the relevant weak interaction effects are in Ra+ some 50 times larger than in Cs, the atom where atomic parity violation theory and experiment yielded the so far best value for the weak mixing (Weinberg) angle. From a light shift measurement in the 7s^2S_{1/2}-6d^2D_{3/2} transition a single Ra+ ion the weak mixing angle can be expected to be extracted with some five times higher accuracy within a couple of days measurement time. The recent progress in theory and experiment towards that goal will be reported.
