Title:	New determination of the fine structure constant and test of the quantum electrodynamic
Abstract:	The fine structure constant (alpha) is the basic constant of the quantum electrodynamics theory (QED). The most accurate determination of (alpha) is deduced from the experimental value of the electron magnetic moment g/2 (in Bohr magnetons) using the relationship that comes primarily from Dirac and QED theory. The electron magnetic moment is measured with a relative uncertainty of 0.28 ppt by measuring the cyclotron and the spin frequencies of electron in a cylindrical Penning trap [1]. In this talk we present a new determination of the fine structure constant, with a relative uncertainty of 0.66 ppb [2]. This value improves our precedent result by a factor of about seven [3]. Using this value, we obtain a theoretical value of the electron magnetic moment in agreement with the experimental measurement of Harvard group [1]. The comparison of these values provides the most stringent test of the QED.
