Title:	Future experiments on the laser interaction with nanostructures
Abstract:	Structured materials irradiated by intense laser and ion beams show up a lot of advantages in comparison with bulk matter. These are: near to 100% laser light absorption, effective coupling of the laser energy into heating and ionization, effective generation of non-thermal electronic component, transparency to X-ray self radiation and slow hydrodynamic expansion of the heated porous materials. Two experimental projects applying nanosecond and sub-picosecond PHELIX-laser will be started in the next months at GSI. One of them is aimed at the creation of an intensive X-ray back lighting source using the mechanism of effective generation of Ka-radiation in nanostructured surface of high Z-materials. Experiments with a nanosecond laser pulsed irradiating CHO-foams with close to under critical densities are focused on the creation of plasma target for heavy ¿ion-plasma interaction.
