Title:	Experimental and theoretical investigations of high-energy-density states in matter induced by intense heavy ion and laser beams (IPCP ¿ GSI joint research)
Abstract:	We present a proposal for joint experimental and theoretical investigations of high-energy-density states in matter induced by intense heavy ion and laser beams. The phase diagram at extreme conditions is discussed along with possibilities of modern experimental and theoretical methods. The significance of joint ion and laser beams for producing and measuring exotic states of matter is demonstrating. The current state of art in experimental and theoretical investigations of HED states induced by intense ion beams is discussed.
