Title of talk:	The dynamics of light vector mesons
Abstract:	I will start with a brief introduction to the concept of effective field theories. Recently such an effective field theory has been proposed for systems where light vector and pseudoscalar mesons are the active degrees of freedom [1]. I will mainly focus on the results of this scheme for leading-order calculations of various vector-meson decays [2,3]. Special emphasis is put on electromagnetic transition form factors where a significant improvement is achieved relative to the standard vector-meson-dominance model [3]. [1] M.F.M. Lutz and S.
