Title:	One-to-one kinetic simulations of intense laser-matter interactions
Abstract:	The advent of ultraintense (I~10^18-10^22 W/cm^2), ultrashort (t~30 fs) laser pulses has disclosed a new realm of physical scenarios and applications. The full comprehension of the intricate non-linear phenomena characterizing the laser-matter interaction in these regimes usually requires massively parallel numerical simulations, to be complemented with appropriate theoretical modeling. Here, we present an overview of some of the conditions in which simulations are the key enabling tool, either in underdense or overdense plasmas, with an emphasis on the propagation of intense lasers in long plasma channels for multi-GeV electron acceleration in a single stage and the control of the dynamics of cluster explosions under intense radiation. One-to-one full scale 3D simulations of these scenarios will be discussed.
