Title:	Probing laser driven ion acceleration over extended temporal and spatial scales
Abstract:	During recent years intense laser driven ion acceleration has become a subject of detailed experimental and theoretical research. Especially the physics at some ten micrometer spatial and some hundred femtoseconds temporal scale has been locked at. We show with our experimental results that much larger extensions and longer durations of the phenomena are present which need further modeling for better understanding. With developed on-line proton imaging and ion diagnostic techniques we use advantageously repetitive Terawatt-class laser systems for these studies.
