Title:	Modeling laser-induced nonsequential multiple ionization of atoms
Abstract:	Electron-electron correlation in laser-irradiated many-particle systems is a multi-faceted phenomenon. Laser-induced nonsequential multiple ionization of atoms has allowed one to obtain new insight. Except for helium, the problem is in the foreseeable future beyond the scope of ab-inito methods. S-matrix-based but largely classical models are discussed that hopefully incorporate important aspects of the relevant physics. Comparison between the results of such models and recent experiments admit measurements of the ionization dynamics on the attosecond time scale.
