statement on interest:	I am currently a Ph.D student at the University of Warwick producing a new Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) code for studying hydrodynamics problems in cylindrical (r-z) geometry. The final code is expected to also model laser plasma interactions, and energy deposition from a heavy ion beam. The code is also expected to have multi material capabilities. The comparisons with current and future work at GSI are clear. Specifically looking towards future experiments at FAIR the (in production) code would be of use in target and experimental design for the HEDgeHOB and WDM collaborations planned at FAIR, amongst others. Of course the code is wide ranging in it proposed applications, but some of my research interests involve modelling and damping of hydrodynamical instabilities using variations in beam parameters, understanding of equations of states of materials under extreme conditions, and the modelling of solar flux tubes. To reflect this, the code is also expected to use arbitrary equations of state, and incorporate a magnetic field. Numerically, I also hope to investigate further tensor shock viscosities in order for the code to be able to correctly identify and model shocks. I would like to attend this summer school in order to gauge possible uses of such a code amongst the wider scientific community. As I have stated previously there is a great deal in common between the code I am working on and proposed experiments at FAIR, as such I would take great pleasure in visiting GSI, and potentially meeting those who will be working at the proposed facility.
