statement on interest:	My name is Mahdi Habibi, a graduate student of Physics department of Azarbaijan university of Tarbiat Moallem, Iran. My research interests are "Non-linear optics ", and ¿Plasmas Physics". Currently, I'm doing research on laser/beam-plasma interactions (especially PWFA) and solving nonlinear Schrödinger equation with variable coefficients for inhomogeneous plasmas. As my curriculum vitae shows, my background involves good knowledge about Plasmas Physics and ultra intense lasers-matter interactions. Because of my profound interest in laser-matter interactions, I am currently working on analyzing and improving the performance of density Transition in Lasers-Matter Interactions especially in the LWFA and PWFA, too. I intend to extend this work to cover different densities of matters such as plasma. I have also worked on ramp density profile and improved relativistic self-focusing in it that is published in Physics of Plasma Journal (2009) and JOSAB (2010) and some international conferences. I have been working with Prof. Sadighi at his laser laboratory in Sharif University of Technology on my project for Master of Science thesis in laser plasma interaction. I believe that my studying and researching experience combined with my course work and research background in laser plasma interaction and Atomic and Molecular (Plasma Physics) make me a strong candidate for attending in your school.
