Directions for Travelers

• By car from Frankfurter Kreuz

  Drive A5 in south direction (Darmstadt). Use exit Mörfelden/Langen. Drive to Langen/Egelsbach. Just before reaching Langen turn right to Egelsbach until reaching the major road B3. Turn right to Darmstadt. At the traffic light in Darmstadt-Wixhausen turn left (Wixhausen Industriegebiet (industrial area), road sign GSI).

• By car from Offenbacher Kreuz

  Drive A661 in south direction (Egelsbach/Darmstadt). Use exit Egelsbach (end of highway). Turn left onto the major road B3 to Darmstadt. At the traffic light in Darmstadt-Wixhausen turn left (Wixhausen Industriegebiet (industrial area), road sign GSI).

• By car from Darmstädter Kreuz

  Drive A5 in north direction (Frankfurt). Use exit Weiterstadt and go left on B42 in direction Darmstadt. At the second traffic light turn left entering B3 in direction Frankfurt. Stay on B3 until entering the city limit of Darmstadt-Wixhausen, then turn right at the traffic light in Wixhausen (Wixhausen Industriegebiet (industrial area), road sign GSI).

• Train from Frankfurt Hbf (main station)

  Use the "S-Bahn S3 / S4" (rapid-transit railway) in south direction (Darmstadt). Exit in Darmstadt-Wixhausen. Then you have a 30-40 minutes walk to GSI (Messeler-Park-Straße).

• Train from Airport Frankfurt

  Use the "S-Bahn S8 / S9" to Frankfurt Hbf (main station). Change the train (S-Bahn S3 / S4) to Darmstadt-Wixhausen (direction Darmstadt). Then the same as above.

• Bus / Train from Airport Frankfurt

  Use the Bus OF-64 from Terminal 1 to Dreieich-Buchschlag. Then use the train (S-Bahn) to Darmstadt-Wixhausen (direction Darmstadt). Then the same as above.

• Train from Darmstadt Hbf

  S-Bahn, S3 / S4 direction Bad Soden / Kronberg, Exit Wixhausen train station (2nd stop).
  Walk (to the right from the train direction) onto Messeler-Park-Straße straight ahead until the end (25-30min.)

• Tram / Bus from Darmstadt Centre

  Tram 7/8 direction Arheilgen Hofgasse, Exit Arheilgen Hofgasse terminus
  Change to Bus WX / Bus 972 (beginning of the lines) Exit Brucknerstraße / Wixhausen B3 bus stop
  Walk (direction Industriegebiet) onto Messeler-Park-Straße straight ahead until the end (15-20min.)
